In my
opinion, this is the best press Lee has ever produced. The priming system is a
huge step forward for Lee.
AND…
Lee
Precision has updated the classic Pro 1000 for 2023.
The new Pro
1000 features a much improved priming and indexing system. Lee has also moved
away from turrets. The new Pro 1000 features a tool head much like the Pro 4000
and Six Pack Pro. Dies are now secured with the Breech Lock system…Lee also now
offers their die sets with these bushing already installed.
Lee’s
progressive presses now feature the same priming and indexing system across the
line and they work fantastic! Simple to use with no adjustments required…gone are
the way of indexing screws and flippers. Priming is safe and any brand of
primer can be used.
Now I am
waiting for Lee to incorporate their new priming system in the Pro 4000.
But that’s
not all…
How about an
inline bullet feeder? The Six Pack Pro features six die stations and this has
solved a problem for reloaders wanting to use a powder check die and inline
bullet feeder.
Featuring an
all metal feeding die with a bullet feeder magazine the new bullet feeder from
Lee will also be able to feed 223 bullets.
The classic
Lee Bullet Feeder will still be available for the Pro 1000 and 4000.
Plus I have
spied some photos of upgrades for the Lee Precision APP. For the reloaders that
cast their own bullets looks like Lee has designed a sizer system that feeds
your sized bullets directly into the new inline bullet feeder.
And it looks
like new APP’s will ship with a 4 tube case feeder.
Exciting times!
